Musings on ecological conservation issues
I’ve worked in the field of ecological conservation for all of my professional career, and had the opportunity to work with some extraordinary people, and be exposed to some fascinating ideas. It’s all led me to believe that any ecological conservation issue can be solved with the right combination of creative thinking and creative people.
I also firmly believe that sharing thoughts, communicating knowledge, and catalyzing action with words can, in fact, save the world. But we need to do it. And we need to do it thoughtfully and with intent.
So this blog is a synthesis; my experiences blended with my thoughts on what we need to do, all liberally spiced with the things other people have taught me. But in the end, these are my opinions.
“The essayist is a self-liberated man, sustained by the childish belief that everything he thinks about, everything that happens to him, is of general interest.” – E.B. White
