Project Summary
The hamlet of Bragg Creek, Alberta, and its surrounding ecosystem are under significant pressure from tourism, recreation, and residential development. As concern about the health of the natural systems grew within the community, a new organization, Bragg Creek Wild, emerged to help give voice to those concerns and the associated community desires
Because the local government’s Area Structure Plan is being renewed, Bragg Creek Wild wanted a chance for the local community to better understand the circumstance and opportunity. The Corvus Centre was invited by the Bragg Creek Chamber of Commerce to come and present on how protection of the local natural assets could be incorporated into the municipal plans.
