All conservation easement transactions in Alberta over the last 30 years have involved real estate professionals in one way or another. Despite that, the industry has no conservation easement resources targeted at them, speaking to the items that affect them, and what they need to know to help their clients.

Conservation easements are an amazing tool … and they are not for everyone nor every land parcel. The Corvus Centre wanted to help the real estate industry be better prepared for those conversations, aware of when the tool works, aware of when it does not, aware of why landowners seek to grant these servitudes, and what it means when they encounter them.

The Corvus Centre delivered a webinar on this topic to real estate agents across Alberta, then created a more detailed guide, specific to real estate agents and other real estate professionals.
